We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced People Advisor to work on all aspects of human resources practices and processes, including talent acquisition. If you have great interpersonal skills and can build relationships easily with stakeholders, we want to hear from you. This role is based in our London office but with a flexible approach to remote working.

The role of People Advisor:

We are looking for an experienced People Advisor to work on all aspects of human resources practices and processes, including talent acquisition. We are looking for someone with great interpersonal skills who can build relationships across all levels of the business. The People Team at GovNet are all passionate about employee wellbeing, development, and progression but also grounded in their knowledge of employment law and recruitment practices…we are passionate about work being fun too, and we want our new team members to be aligned with that!

The People Advisor will report to the Head of People for all things HR but also have a dotted line with our Talent Manager for recruitment. The role would be perfect for someone who has great attention to detail, is passionate about employment law, best practice, has a modern HR outlook, and is a People-focused practitioner.

Main Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Owning HR administration across the employee lifecycle, building HR templates for our HRIS, ensuring employee documents are up to date, including letters, contracts and contract change and the leavers process.
  • Manage the HR inbox and ticket system, allocating and owning tasks across the team
  • Ensure all employment practices comply with current UK legislation and company guidelines as well as considering best practice - update relevant policies, procedures & documents and take the lead in building a new Employee Playbook and content for our HR Portal.
  • Lead the Employee Wellbeing committee, ensuring employee health is supported, from health-related initiatives to ensuring mental health support and recognition is in place.
  • Bring the fun! Help to ensure there is lots going on to provide social and fun experiences for our employees.
  • Ensure employee data is appropriately & accurately gathered, stored and processed in line with GDPR
  • Coach, advise and support managers in all aspects of People Management
  • Providing an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to absences, compensation, HR Related policies, and other employee-relations
  • Work closely with the Head of People and sometimes take the lead on complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement and redundancy - coach and guide managers
  • Led by the Talent Manager, assist in the talent acquisition process, including sourcing, testing, interviewing, hiring and onboarding - coach and guide managers.
  • Update job descriptions in line with career ladders, new roles and role changes.
  • Manage Employee benefits, including administration and renewals, researching and recommending alternative benefits to ensure cost effectiveness.
  • Work closely with payroll department to provide accurate and up to date employee information via reports and hand over in monthly payroll meeting. Add payslips to HR System.
  • Experience in HR Analytics, developing and providing a monthly dashboard of People Team Analytics.
  • Work with the team to manage the Performance Review Process, and eventually take full ownership of the process.
  • Assess L & D needs, make recommendations and ensure the correct training and development opportunities are in place.
  • There will also be adhoc office management tasks in the role.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years solid Generalist HR experience.
  • Highly Organised
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
  • A demonstrable interest in HR Analytics
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organisational levels.
  • People oriented and results driven
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Experience of Office 365, especially Teams and Excel.

Desirable

  • Familiar with using Project Management tools such as Asana.
  • Familiar with HRIS, bob would be ideal but not necessary.
  • Administration of Perkbox or similar benefits platform.
