Understanding ModernGov are looking for a passionate Programme Assistant to join the London team. This is an exciting role for an individual who is well organised, creative, has a strong attention to detail and a keen interest in current affairs. You will be involved in the day-to-day management of our training courses and in the generation and creation of new course ideas.

Main Responsibilities of Programme Assistant will include but will not be limited to:

  • Researching, developing, organising and managing allocated courses
  • Inviting trainers to lead courses and sourcing new trainers where needed
  • Assisting with new course development and updating of content on repeat courses
  • Liaising with stakeholders before, during and after a course
  • Developing and building positive relationships with trainers
  • Providing marketing briefs to the relevant teams
  • Working with trainers to obtain biographies, presentations and learning material
  • Assisting with new course development and generating new ideas

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent research skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and drive
  • Great team player with an ambitious and positive attitude
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and under pressure
  • Strong work ethic with a 'can do’ attitude
  • An Interest in and understanding of the public sector and their training needs would be an advantage
